Dear fellow citizens, dear guests!

I would like to welcome you all to this year’s Baumholderer Kirmes.

I am pleased that this year we can offer a tent fair in Baumholder for the first time. Mr. Patrick Gaul will carry out this in his name and we can all celebrate the fair over four days from 16 to 19 September in and around the tent.

The poster shows the complete program with live music in the tent on all four days. Likewise, the car dealership Schug with another attraction belongs to it. On Saturdays at 15:00 the tournament starts in the Bubble Ball Arena in Kennedyallee. Hopefully many teams can prove their football talent with air-filled balls (bubbles) hung over the body and win a trophy and vouchers for the fair (admission or drink vouchers). Organizer Sebastian James from Autohaus Schug announces further information and accepts registrations for participation.

The all-day program on Sunday begins at 14:00 with the ostrich speech of the “Strauss Youth” at the Hotel Westrich. From 14:00 to 17:00 you can visit the museum in the Golden Angel Cultural Centre. At that time, a special exhibition of the Birkenfeld Youth Art School is taking place there. The entrance fee is 1,00 €. I would like to cordially invite you all to the 5th city run from 15:00 o’clock. The organizing team of the OIE Triathlon is planning the run for young and old in Kennedyallee. The running routes run along the main road in the direction of the old town, Dicker Turm and back via Lückstraße and Kennedyallee to the starting point at the stage. It’s going to be exciting! At the end of the sporty day, the tent is open again from 3:30 pm. There the award ceremony takes place with dances of various VfR groups as well as live music.

On Fair Monday, the Krammarkt opens at 9:00 a.m. in Kennedyallee.

I am pleased that I was able to invite you to a municipal morning pint again this year. From 11:00 a.m. this will take place for invited guests with live music in the tent.

My special thanks go to Mr. Patrick Gaul, the Orga-Team Stadtlauf, the Autohaus Schug, the Straußjugend, the tradesmen, the Städtische Bauhof, Mrs. Claudia Paffendorf and the helpers, who with a lot of commitment, enormous time expenditure and great organizational talent make the fair a highlight again this year.

On all days I wish us here in Baumholder a lot of fun and good entertainment during the fair!
