Concert at the Golden Angel

George Gershwin, best known for his folk opera “Porgy and Bess” and the “Rhapsody in Blue”,” has written many musicals and Broadway shows in the two decades of his work. From this rich fund, the singer Esther Lorenz has put together a program that shows the many sides of Gershwin, melancholic, funny, spirited and gentle. Lorenz tells musically about the beginnings of the son of Russian-Jewish immigrants to the USA, his successful balancing act between classical and jazz and his love of Broadway.

The singer Esther Lorenz, who studied both classical singing and jazz singing, will be accompanied on this evening by the pianist Thomas Bergler.

The concert will take place on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at 7:00 pm in the Golden Angel Cultural Center. Tickets for the price of 12.00 euros can be purchased from 02 May 2022 in the morning at the city office in the Old Town Hall (Tel.: 06783-981140). Only a small number of tickets are available.
