Old Town Hall

The Old Town Hall of the town of Baumholder, located in the main street and with its clock tower a striking building of the city, was built in 1840. The neoclassical building is one of the few buildings that survived the great fire of 1880.

Today, the Old Town Hall houses a local history museum and the office of the Volkshochschule, in addition to the city office and the offices for mayors and associates. The Municipal Meeting Centre is available to associations of the city for meetings.

Museum

A room of the local history museum was converted into a puppet and toy museum. The permanent exhibition and the other rooms of the local history museum are open on request. Also group tours with Peter Lang (Tel.:0 6783-4866).
Admission is free.
