Dedicated volunteers should be rewarded for their efforts. As in many other cities and municipalities, the city of Baumholder participates in the volunteer card Rhineland-Palatinate. For volunteer card holders, the city of Baumholder grants the following benefits:
- 20% discount on merchandising products (bags, postcards, pins)
- 20% discount on the rental price of the city. Forest houses (once a year)
- 20% discount on the entrance fee at the Golden Angel Regional Museum
The volunteer card can be obtained if you are at least 14 years old, volunteer for an average of at least 5 hours per week or 250 hours a year, and who does not receive a lump sum financial compensation. The volunteer card is valid for two years and can then be applied for again.

After filling in, please leave at the city office. There, the request for completeness is checked and forwarded to the State Chancellery.
At the request of various requests and at the suggestion of associations, organizations and volunteers, long-standing committed people who do not provide the weekly required number of hours will now also be given access to the nationwide anniversary volunteer card. The prerequisite for this is a voluntary commitment that has been practiced for at least 25 years. The other award criteria of the volunteer card are completely omitted. The commitment can have taken place continuously in an organization or in different areas of activity. Even long-term committed people who can no longer get involved due to their age or health situation can receive the card.
