After the successful start of the Old Town Festival 2023 by the city of Baumholder, we are looking forward to this year’s Old Town Festival.
The 33rd Old Town Festival will take place this year from 23 to 25.08.2024.
On Friday, 23.08.2024 at 6:00 p.m., the Old Town Festival traditionally begins with the tapping of the barrel and the music association “Bleib Treu” from Berglangenbach until about 8:00 p.m. Afterwards, the band Elliot, one of the most successful cover bands in Saarland, will really heat things up. A varied program, presented in a powerful sound and with an intense stage presence, guarantees a unique concert and party experience.
On Saturday, 24.08.2024 from 6:00 p.m., MEP-Live “The Live-Trio” will provide entertainment until approx. 8:30 p.m. At each concert, MEP-Live presents an exciting journey through the different genres and decades. Ballads alternating with rocking songs, oldies followed by current hits – boredom excluded. These will then be replaced by the C3ntral house band. Whether pop, rock, soul, techno or dance, they celebrate, interpret and transport each and every one of their cover songs directly into the heart – tender and concentrated at the same time – in any case sustainably and perfectly, so that you lose yourself in it.
On Sunday, 25.08.2024 from 2:00 p.m., the OIE Family Day will take place. There is a bouncy castle for the children. Giuseppe Taibi will provide music for the whole thing under the stage name Jo RocC. When late bloomer Giuseppe Taibi, who “only” started playing the guitar 20 years ago, enters the stage, it goes off – tirelessly, intensely, powerfully, but then again very emotionally.
On all days, there is our amusement park for young and old on the upper park level of the market square with bumper cars, shooting range, arrow throwing, sweets, slush-ice, crêpes, children’s carousel and duck fishing.
The physical well-being will again be well taken care of, so that the mayor of the city, Günther Jung, is looking forward to welcoming Baumholder residents as well as numerous guests from outside.
